BACCARAT STRATEGY

When it comes to card games, baccarat is underrated. All the glory seems to have gone towards poker and blackjack variants, whereas baccarat is a simpler game and provides the player a chance to earn cold, hard cash while making substantially fewer decisions than he or she would at a blackjack table, for example.  People once believed that playing baccarat is something only wealthy folks do, and that’s not true; at least it does not apply to this day and age. Amateur Baccarat is available to every gambler with an online casino account, regardless of his or her budget size.

Much like with blackjack, baccarat is also surrounded by various strategies conceived to make the game more profitable for the one who uses them. Finding the winning baccarat strategy is an obsession to some baccarat enthusiasts, and even amateur players go straight to mastering a tactic that guarantees a win, which may not be the smartest move. It’s best to start with the basics and work your way up to sophisticated strategies.

BACCARAT GAME ESSENTIALS

Before any baccarat player can even think about learning a winning baccarat strategy, he or she should study the game’s basic rules and proceedings. You don’t start writing before having learned all the letters, right? So, what are the baccarat essentials? There isn’t too much material to deal with – just enough for a comprehensive guide and after having mastered it, you are good to go.
Baccarat is usually played with a six-deck shoe or an eight-deck shoe. It is a fast-paced game with an uncomplicated set of rules that can have slight variations depending on the general rules of the house.  The game starts when the dealer deals two cards to the Banker and two cards to the Player. All the cards are given point values as follows: Ace is counted as 1; 2-9 have their face value, whereas 10 and face cards are counted as 0. The goal of the game is to come closest to a point count of 9.
There are only three possible bets in baccarat. You can put your money on the Player (which is you), the Banker (which is the dealer) and a Tie. The first two cards are counted in a particular way, and under specific conditions, both the Player and Banker are allowed to ask for a third card.
The house edge on the Player’s hand bet is 1.29%. Bet on the Banker’s hand and you will face a house edge of 1.01%. Betting on a Tie involves a house edge of 15.75%.
